Little things

I talked with my mom this morning and she's doing better everyday.  I'm excited to see her tomorrow when she gets home and so is Wrynly!!

Today was a slow day. We played in Wrynly's room. We opened her blinds to her window and made shadow puppets on the carpet floor.  You can see her little hand doing the bunny in the picture.  I also taught her to give Eskimo kisses by rubbing our noses together. Jarom thought that was great when he got home! Well, she's off to bed early since she refused to nap today, so that means Jarom and I have time to play World of Warcraft together! Fun fun fun!

A day of visitors

Today we had a couple visitors!  We were just hanging out, watching (by that I mean singing and dancing to) the Fresh Beat Band when my dad, Papa Jackson, knocks on the door! He came to help us fix the closet doors in the room that will be our new little one's once she gets here. Wrynly loves her Papa!!  She wanted to be right next to him every second he worked.  She grabbed his hand and took him places all over the house and showed him how she can twirl!

Aunt Mar Mar came over after she got off work. I don't know what it is about her, but Wrynly gets so excited she SCREAMS and giggles the entire time she is here! She actually calmed down to get her "pretties" done.. she helped Mauri paint her fingernails and toenails. She loves it when you blow on her fingers and toes real hard and wave them in the air to dry.  She then walked around and picked things up all dainty like... which, haven't you noticed you are more careful and dainty when you get your nails painted??

Jarom picked up some overtime at work today, or else we would have been playing with dad all day too! Luckily he's home in time for dinner and bedtime every night. Wrynly always stays asleep when her dad puts her to bed!

My mother had her surgery today. Everything went great, she walked out of the surgery and walked into her hotel room! The doctors said her pain should be gone in a few days, so she is resting tomorrow and flying home on Wednesday! I sure miss visiting her almost everyday.

Waffle Sunday!!!!

We had my brothers, Marcus and Parker, sleep over last night because my mom and Bill are in New York for her back surgery and Mauri is in St. George with her friends.  We played computer games and X-Box 360 games all last night long... well, the boys did... Jarom and I were tired by 10:30, does that mean we are getting old???  Either way, we had fun!

We woke up to the smell of waffles cooking! We love having Waffle Sunday ever since my mom and Bill got us a waffle maker for Christmas a few years back. Today's waffles had blueberries, strawberries and bananas, topped with blueberry syrup and whipped cream. DELICIOUS! Back to playing video games... Wrynly convinced Marcus and Parker to go inside her castle... until Marcus farted and cleared it out!

Chillin'

Today was a chill and relax day.  Jarom made us waffles with blueberry syrup and whipped cream. He also let me take a nap... and when I woke up I let him take a nap! Saturdays are fun to stay home with the family.  We went out to dinner with Grandma Linda for her birthday, along with Grandpa Mark and Uncle Ty.  Wrynly was kind of a stinker at the restaurant... I guess she can't be good all of the time!!

Grandma's House

Today we went to play at Grandma Susan's house. We took over donuts to share, ate grilled cheese sandwiches and sliced apples.  Of course, we also had to put on the movie "Finding Nemo" while we played with toys. Wrynly's favorite thing is to feed Nikki, the bird, cheese and cookies (while sneeking pieces herself!)!!

She also loves to help Grandma Susan work! Let's draw pictures! My mother leaves tomorrow to fly to New Jersey to have laser-back-surgery at Atlantic Spinal Care. Please pray for safety, success and a pain free Grandma afterwards! Good luck, Mom!

Play day

Today started out rough with morning sickness returning after weeks of being just fine.  Wrynly soon cheered me up by wanting to read books inside her princess castle and singing along to "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" with me.  I tried to teach her to say "Two" and hold up her fingers (though you get  three or four fingers) when you ask her how old she will be on her birthday.  We played outside in the snow with Milo, our 10 year old pug, and tried to take a nap.  Aunt Mauri came to Wrynly's rescue by coming over and making us go to the mall to "window shop" since we are both short on money!  We had lots of fun hanging out.

We waited for dad to come home, Wrynly loves to watch out the window for him because we can hear his truck coming down the street from two blocks away.  After hugs and kisses, I always tell Jarom to change his clothes (get out of that officer uniform and into comfy jammies!) and so we can chat about our day. Today, Wrynly held out her hands and said "clothes" to him and dragged him into the bedroom to change.  Jarom must have some super-dad power at getting Wrynly to go to bed... she didn't get up once tonight (the past few weeks we've had to put her back in bed because she'd get out, turn on the light and play).

I look forward to Thursday night TV because my favorite show "Vampire Diaries" is on... but not tonight, I was so disappointed. Jarom and I busted a gut at "Impractical Jokers" instead before he was off to bed at 8:30. I don't know how he does it, but he loves to get up before 4 am to go work out. Results are awesome... I have a husband with a HOT BOD! Keep up your motivation, babe, I'm lovin' it!

The Beginning

01/25/2012 is the start of a new way for me to document and chronicle our lives. My goal is to post once a day, even if it's a short sentence, so we can reflect back on our lives and know we lived!
